The ever popular MMORPG World of Warcraft is currently played by 8 million people around the world. The biggest WoW population comes from China, with 3,5 million subscribers. Next up is North America with 2 million, and finally Europe, with 1,5 million. Blizzard and publisher Vivendi have lowered the price of the game to $20, although the monthly subscription is still $15.

The first expansion, The Burning Crusade, will be released next week for $40, with the limited Collector’s Edition going for $70. However, since there are potentially millions of WoW players interested in the Collector’s Edition, the price on eBay has sky rocketed to over $400.
