Driver: Parallel Lines Ported To PC, Wii

Citing ESRB ratings, TVG carries word that Ubisoft plans on releasing Wii and PC versions of Driver: Parallel Lines, originally released last year on Xbox and PS2.
Ubisoft bought Driver developer Reflections Interactive for $24 million last year, but the French publisher is yet to announce the ports, though the eagle-eyed reporters over on TVG have sighted ratings for the game (M-rated for those interested) on the US ratings group’s website. Ubisoft is yet to make a comment, or announce the games.

I have no idea why Ubi bought Driver in the first place. Not one game in the series has been successful. I understand they’d give $25m for the Far Cry license, but Driver?

“Driver” still has some brand value, there’s even a movie coming out soon. Ubisoft will most certainy take advantage of that.
And don’t forget that they could actually make a good game, wothy (or not?) or the name.

Another M rated game for the Wii … maybe Ubisoft can make the Driver series interesting. I’m not expecting much though but it would be a nice surprise.
