Sega Announces 5 New VC Titles

January 14th, 2007 by Kevin Cortez in News

street1.pngSega of America and Sega Europe have both announced that five virtual console titles will be available on the Wii. The five titles are all Sega Genesis titles and will cost 800 Wii Points ($8). Streets of Rage, Bio-Hazard Battle, Gain Ground, Comix Zone and Bonanza Bros. will all be coming “later this month.” These games are a big relief for those of you who are huge Sega fans, and don’t already own the obvious collection title, Sega Genesis Collection for the PS2.

Just wanted to point out that Streets of Rage and Bio-Hazard Battle are not part of Sega Genesis Collection for the PS2. It’s still a great collection though, especially if you’re a Genesis/PS2 fan.

Sega isn’t letting VC go to waste, but we sure would use some more 64 titles.

  3. Alex Says:

Yeah, Nintendo should go all in with the VC, instead of releasing one N64 game per month (or less), release 10-20, that’ll get the nostalgia in people.

But maybe there’s the whole license isse and all that. Still, there should be at least 20 VC games per month.
