Motorstorm Delayed Till March

Sony and developer Evolution Studios have delayed the anticipated off-road racing game till March, instead of the original February 27 release date. This will give them enough time to polish the online play and the overall experience. While the Japanese version lacked multiplayer and many other features, it was still praised for its great looks and realistic physics. If the western version manages to deliver the same scale of off-road madness, coupled with a solid multiplayer feature, Motorstorm might be the first must-have game of 2007.

well really thats not that bad if you think . I mean march is right after feb. So I wouldnt trip , now if it was TBA in 2008 . that would be a problem I would be pissed

Hey Quartecks trying to burn Motorstorm when you haven’t even played it, is awfully retarded and ignorant of you! Don’t you think?
I on the other hand own the Japanese version and I can tell you first hand that this game is the biggest trip this side of a trip to Mars. Flat out the Monster of all Road Rash fun.
I still trip on being able to pause the game in the middle of an pile up or accident. Being able to examine each and every dust fragment, zooming in and out, rotating the view and checing out yourself sitting in the seat with mud on your face or flying through the air, is a scream. It’s a first hand view, of the absolutely remarkable physics and power of the PS3 playing this game. Especially in later levels.
The absolute most fun I’ve had in any racing game ever. From Burn Out, PGR, NFS,GT, good ole Road Rash, etc! None even come close. Online with 12 or 16 real people it will be an absolute blast beyond comparison! Mark My Words!!!
Tell you what! Go to a store and play the game. Hit start to pause the game in the middle of a monster collision and take a good look around. With the analog sticks, zoom with left stick and manipulate the camera with the right, then tell me this game isn’t a Killer Ap! Tell me that right now even your computer can do this! You can’t, because you’d be lying straight UP!
One thing I despies in all forums is the Hate for Hate’s sake! No matter what platform it is. Everything has a reason for you to buy it and if not you, somebody else. Because some people have a difference in opinion, does not give cause to hate them or their view. More haters here than people making honest from experience coments that they really have no right to be making! And that’s all they have to say! You go to sites on the web and find the majority of haters on the side of Nintendo and X360 fans.
Why? I understand the Wii and the short syndrome and inferiority complex, but I don’t understand fans going to sites and voting on the opposing consoles games when they haven’t even played them. What does that accomplish but artificially lowering ratings of the competition.
You think everyone doesn’t know that’s what’s happening? You think it’s not obvious that a game that score over 9 by critics scores 2 in public. Especially when you follow your nose and find the trash talk voting coming from the competition’s fans. It’s easy to figure out that the fans that do this most are X360 fans.
Why are they so obsessed and possessed by trying to make Sony PS3 fail? To the point that their whole life revolves around hating Sony. Incredible that, that much hate can be conjured up over a game console. Is it just because it’s straight up better? That these moronic disciples actually think that will harm the PS3 in the end if they make them look bad? Well sorry but your arrogant, lies, and ignorant voting proves nothing. In the end, they will be what they will be. Products as good as the PS3 always win out int the end and justice prevails. So all your Hate is for nought, and it will not even slow it down in the end.

I’ve played the demo and the game is pretty decent but… I didn’t see it as the revolutionary game that may save the ps3 from its current plight. Hopefully for sony they get out MGS4 or FF by 2007 (unlikely) or another heavy hitter to make the masses *need* the ps3… otherwise, the bashing will continue

Let me just say this. A Demo does not a game make! That said any clowns here try that pause routine on the demo in the store? No! Too lame to actually try it. Motorstorm for you moronic imbeciles is using some 128bit HDR Lighting. That my wonderfully stupid friends can’t be done on either the X360 or the Wii.
In fact you need the only 128bit HDR enabled card to do that with, on a PC! So far that’s the Nvidia 8800. Plus there are as yet no games out until DX10 and Crysis are finally released for PC!
How many games are even in development for Vista exclusive DX10? Well less than 10 games as many have either stopped or put on hold games for this wonderful proprietary and restrictive API that doesn’t deliver half of what it promised (not unlike Vista). Nvidia is working full force on developing and enhansing OpenGL. Why? Cuz M$ can’t tell them what to do, or restrict their feature set!
Motorstorm?
Whether you are observant enough to notice from a dumb demo, is not important now. But when you get online in Motorstorm in that outrageous environment, will be when you can say anything remotely valid or bad in judging it.

OMG!!! Never occured to me that Tetris was a lame game because it doesn’t have specular lightening or real time shadows, so lame of me… while graphics are great as they help your immersion in the game, gameplay is THE factor… again, countless games that are not the best garphic-wise but that just are more immersive, fun or realistic because of good gameplay… want a good car sim, try Richard Burns Rally on PC, damn even the ugly PS2 version is a hell of a ride, or r-factor on the PC, couple that & a Logitech G-25 or Driving Force-pro then come talk to me about realism of a driving game, from what I’ve seen of it, it’s really gorgeous, seem to have great physics, but slow, can’t talk about gameplay for obvious reasons… play the above games then speak…

R-Factor is a sim fool! And not that great either. I have both a G-25 and the Momo wheel and raced it! If you don’t have a PS3 you should go home to your mommy and beg her to buy you one. Then race GT-HD if you want realism! 128bit HDR Lighting and huge textures like that can’t be found in R-Factor.
I bet you don’t even know what specular lighting and 128bit HDR Lighting are? And you call yourself a Developer! Do you know what DX10 is supposed to bring that DX9 doesn’t have? No! Do you have any idea what graphics look like on a DX10 card? No! How about the new OpenGL versions on the way? 2.5 and 3.0? Know what they do different? If you are such a wonderfully knowledgible Game DEV, why don’t you tell us all about it?
Come on tell us just how much you know. I mean so far you tell us about all the languages you speak, but we haven’t heard a number given for your IQ! I don’t mind it. I’d rather have a polished game and two months behind schedule than some crap like Battlefield 2142 (and BF2).
I’m looking forward to the western reviews of Motorstorm, it should be a great game, from what I’ve heard (and seen). Remember, this version will be far better than the Japanese counterpart, in more than one way.

I was quiet pumped up with just the demo , so I know the really game will be 10 times better . I saw a bigg difference with the new screenshots compaired to the demo . oh I also did the pause feature that was really tight lol . Thats why I want a Ps3 and will be buying one in the next few weeks or months. I think it has alot of hidden features that will play a hell of a trump card when devs start playing with the cell . We never see the beauty untill we wipe away the dirt and start cutting a diamond found in a mine. Thats when games will really look stunning

Great to hear you aren’t affected by all the negative hype from competing console fans who are so unhappy with their own choice that they have to make up stuff to denegrate other people’s choice of PS3.
Best people to listen to no matter which console you own or buy is yourself. But if you need to listen to anybody else, then it best be somebody that actually has the product and speaks from personal experience.
And as far as the diamond in the rough comparison? Well I’d say that despite the fact that this diamond looks pretty darn beautiful as it is, it’s still only using a small portion of it’s power in games out now! What will the games look like 4 years from now when the X360 was peaked back at Gears. There will be no comparison! Just like with PS2 now to Xbox and GC games!
