PSP Gets A Keyboard
January 20th, 2007 Posted in Gear
It really surprises me just how much work goes into the homebrew scene on the PSP. Madruscoe has developed a homebrew application that allows your PSP to work with the palm one universal wireless keyboard. As many PSP owners will tell you, typing is not currently the easiest task on the handheld. PSP owners have been waiting for a decent keyboard since the web browser was first introduced.
I can’t vouch for the application itself but the keyboard is perfect for the PSP, I used to have it for a pocket PC. It’s comfortable to type on, yet folds and fits in your pocket. It can be picked up for around $50 these days.

So many (great) homebrew apps for the PSP. You’d think Sony would notice and start making some useful applications themselves… Instead of released the thing in new colors…

MGS Portable Ops, Final Fantasy VII, Rachet and Clank, and so many more quality games. Plus the HomeBrew now even easier to do than before. Nice keyboard! I personally speaking love my PSP and the colors aren’t any different than what the DS lite has! Plus if you separate the DS from the DS Lite, PSP is only really competing with the DS Lite! Two completely different portables altogether.

cool accessorie. but kind of unnecessary if you ask me.

Monarky I don’t think they make normal DS’s anymore, only Lites. So the PSP can ONLY be competing with that.

arn’t the whole point of handhelds, being able to hold them in your hands, put them in your pocket and play them outside? i don’t see the need for this but i guess some people would.

Yes monir, that’s true.
But PSP is multi use and it gets alittle tiring typing code for homebrew. Keyboard makes it nice.

Yeah to be honest, I like my PSP just as much as my DS. The line-up for 2007 on the PSP has some great games. There is a final fantasy tactics and dungeons and dragons tactics coming out. Also a version of Oblvion I believe.
