Mario Kart 64 Coming To Wii VC Next Week

Mario_Kart_64box.jpgThe N64 classic Mario Kart 64 will be available on Wii’s Virtual Console next week. Besides Zelda: Link To The Past, there haven’t been many quality VC games lately, so this comes at a good time for Wii owners. Mario Kart 64 was first released in 1996 in Japan and 1997 in the West, you can pick it up (read: download) on Monday for 1000 Wii Points, or $10.

    Nintendo needs to hook up some online mode for mario kart.

    but they’re probably making Mario Kart Wii in this very moment… :)

    Mario Kart 64 is probably the best game in the Mario Kart series and the download will cost about £6.

    For someone who is willing to pay £425 for a games console with a potentially obsolete media player built in im surprised £6 bothers you at all.

    Then again that’s probably a weeks pocket money from mummy

    I wonder if Goldeneye will come out since that was probably one of the most popular games for the N64 as well. It would be worth paying $10 for if I didn’t have it already.

    Europe gor MK64 today, earlier than the US.

    I doubt we will ever see Goldeneye Evander, Rare who made it are now owned by Microsoft hence the disgraceful PDZ as a sequal to N64 Perfect Dark. Can’t see Bill giving the nod to a game for 360s rival.

    I hate how companies keep buying each other, ruining our favorite games. EA for example has bought all the sports games making there no real competition.

    I suppose Microsoft does hate Nintendo for some reason, seeing as they cancelled Halo for the DS. Rare should have the option to release it though since it was before Microsoft bought them out.

    Mario Kart 64 sucks. Why would anyone buy it is it so crappy. If you get in last place theygive you better items and let you go faster. That games sucks.
