No Multiplayer For Bioshock
Bioshock, one of the most eagerly anticipated games for 2007, has now been confirmed to have no multiplayer modes, either online or offline. This news come from website The Cult of Rapture, a recently launched Bioshock community site. Site manager Elizabeth Tobey gave the reason behind this move:
“There will be no multiplayer…but for a very specific reason. BioShock features a compelling storyline that revolves around the experiences of one man as he enters the decaying world of Rapture. Having a multiplayer component would have compromised the story we were trying to tell so we made the decision to keep this game as a single-player experience.”
The site did give some positive news, however, saying the game will be updated daily with content. Both the 360 and PC versions have been confirmed to be exactly the same. BioShock is scheduled for launch this June.

That is good … once in a while you need a good SP game just to let people who don’t play MP feel important.
Seriously though there are more than enough MP games around these days anyway and I am glad that this game is placing so much emphasis on doing it the way they want to and not caving in to any outside pressure. I suppose people are going to be upset anyway or at least cry out for co-op. Oh well you can’t please all the people … awww you all know the rest.
I am really excited about this title and now even more so since I can see the emphasis is on my kind of game … SP … like God of War and God of War II. Great games do NOT have to have an online MP or even Co-op component. Shadow of the Colossus was also a much lauded game and that was also SP without a co-op component.
If the game is really really good it will be one of those I get for the PC and for the 360. I thought I was going to do that with Prey but I never really got into that game (never got the PC version). I still have three or four more chapters until I finish it and that came out like what 6-8 months ago or something like that.

fuck this game then, multiplayer is mostly all i play. it better be a good ass game for me to buy it without multiplayer
