EA Wants To Be #2 DS/Wii Publisher

EA CEO Larry Probst said in a conference call to investors that they plan to increase support for the Nintendo DS and Wii. He mentioned that EA plans to be the #2 publisher on both platforms, second only to Nintendo, of course. Their goal is to get 15-20% of the market share of games released on the DS and Wii, and have already 15 titles in development for Nintendo’s consoles. EA also confirmed that Spore will appear on the DS, but it comes as no surprise as creator Will Wright already revealed plans of getting the game to both the Wii and DS.

    .. Yeah, EA should be more like Sony and only cater to the rich and geeky.

    sarcasm aside, I think it would be better for them to be #15 and only have several games, as long as those were the highest quality games.

    at least spore is coming to ds, most of the ds games do truly suck, i wish i didn’t get the ds and just saved that money on pc upgrades since i need one now. i bet god is laughing at me:P
