Sony Updates PS3 Firmware To 1.51

Sony has updated the PlayStation 3 firmware to 1.51, but almost nothing is known about the new update. On the official PS3 site it says “Support for PLAYSTATION 3 format software titles has been expanded”, whatever that means. As 1UP suggests, it probably fixes backwards compatibility issues. Version 1.5, released just over a week ago, finally fixed the “jaggy” edges on PS2 games. 1.51 might be related to that, but we don’t know as Sony didn’t release any further information.

Why did they release it when the Ps2 games looked so horrible? It’s like selling it with a feature that doesn’t really work. Should have been fixed BEFORE launch..

That’s why i’m so pissed off with sony, they didn’t learn anythin from the Xbox 360; rendering the PS3 full of faults
