When you delay a highly anticipated title, you tend to piss off some of the fans. When you delay it again, you begin to disappoint the fans. The third time you delay your game, you’re really pushing it. Yet Valve has the balls to delay Half Life 2: Episode 2 for the fourth time now, yes 4 (four). First it was meant to be released December 2006, then February 2007, then “Summer 2007″. Now EA, the publisher, has announced that the game will be released “Fall 2007″. Maybe because it’s a simultaneous release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, or maybe because Valve have never delivered a title on time. I wouldn’t be surprised if the game was moved to 2008. Who cares at this point.

1Dunno, lot of rucus over nothing. Then again: I thought HL:2 was just a mediocre title in it’s single player experience. Couldnt be bothered with raunchy episodic content which you pay 3/4 of a full price and finish in 4 hours.
The question in my mind for a while now is:
Why do people bother with episodic crapcontent?
The answer is: not really, just look at how they released an all inclusive package for the consoles, with TF: mod to sweeten the pot.

2I thought hl1 had a better storyline… Half life2 was good but the damn load times ruined the game for me. It was designed for poor ppl so they didnt care for quality. Your gonna say but they made it for everyone tho? kinda, but they sold it for the numbers instead of quality.
Even tho it was amazing next gen title! I felt doom3 focused on how the game played where half life 2 always seemed to load. If they would make 2 versions so it would load after a level i wouldve been happy.

4I used to care about the Half Life saga … now however I have become bored. Whenever the PC version ships I will get just Episode 2 but only after the price drops to around 20-25 bucks.

8@ lamegod I dont get it, I ask you too (even though you are dumb enough to post on the wrong thread): Point the contradiction out to me, now.
And yes, I actually enjoyed Killzone more then hl:2. Killzone was fun for what it was, emptying your kickass weapons and a totally retarded unpretentious storyline filled with cliches. Just an action movie.
Whereas hl:2 was for me, some poor 1984 (read the book) ripoff with similair lineair gameplay, desperately trying to be more, boring weapons and just less action (there certainly was not thinking involved). Farcry puts HL:2 in the corner of shame imo. But I do grant HL:2 that the engine was well programmed and I really dont get that guy with his loading problem, I got an old rig, but it worked fine for me on max details.
