HMV Forced To Stop Unpopular Bundle

February 9th, 2007 Posted in Business

hmv_sample31.jpgWe previously reported on a deal offered by the HMV entertainment company in the UK. The deal stated that when you pre-ordered a PS3 with a PSP, you would be put on a higher priority list for the PS3. While you can imagine that people who left their PS3 order too late (with knowledge of the shortages expected) would obviously be pleased, the previous customers as well as new buyers, would not be. A spokesperson from HMV said:

“Now that we’ve been able to confirm our level of PS3 stock with Sony, we’re in a position to revise our original online offer.”

After numerous complaints they are now selling the system on a first come, first serve basis. In fitting with the majority of retailer in the UK.
