Def Jam: Icon Soundtrack Announced
February 10th, 2007 by Rajiv Ashrafi in News
EA has announced the full official soundtrack for Def Jam: Icon, its upcoming next-gen brawler. The game features a playlist consisting of 29 hip-hop tracks from some big names in the industry including Ludacris, Nas, Young Jeezy and Lil’ Jon.
Interestingly, the music of the game affects the way players fight in an environment. Players will be able to load their own MP3s into the game, which will also change the gameplay. Full track list after the jump.

I found alot of people commenting on the new def jam and I am really pissed that EA messed it up . They should have stayed with the FFNY style and added these new features . I liked going through the game with my created character and mixing up styles . I also found out that it might not be a 4 player battle mode ? hmmmm thats trouble . I loved this game soo much it looks like im stickin to FFNY . I might try it out if it stinks they better find the people who made the old Def Jams

lol I here ya on that Jim2k . well I guess I can say I dont list to Metal or Rock so I might be shot down with insults for sayin I dont see what people see in guitar hero but hey im black so one could see why I like def jam since hip-hop is in my blood, and why rock heads like the opposite. Its all good though we both get what we want in the end .

I wonder what DefJam would be like with rock music, or country, or jazz. lmao

well I would think that would bring more profit if you ask me . lol it sounds weird but im sure if players can make a character that is right for them ,that would make more people that dont listen to hip-hop play the game . I do like the rap/rock type of sh*t like linkin park ,I can listen to them . lol but if they let you make a punk style rocker ,headbanger , or a boot scootin boogie character ,with all that music it would surely bring more fans . thats really a good idea . oh jazz is cool its a mello music I do get into on a rainy day .

I think that def jam Icon is pretty sweet. it has great graphics and the new way to fight is much better than FFNY.

Yeah, I’m pretty pissed about the gameplay. I wish it was more like FFNY. If FFNY and ICON merged, that would be amazing! But, I guess we have to settle with what we have. But, it’s not bad. I like the features in ICON.
