Nintendo Silently Launches Wii Vote Channel

vote.jpgApparently Nintendo likes to spread democracy around the world as well, at least around the Wii world. Last night they launched the Wii Everybody Votes Channel, where users can vote on polls created by Nintendo and other users. They can then compare their results with the other Wii users who voted. No matter how you look at this, there doesn’t seen much value in this new “service”. Perhaps Nintendo should try and get a decent online multilayer feature than some of these quite pointless “Channels”.

Anything that allows me to get through, even in the tiniest fashion, to the numbnuts that create games and consoles IS a good thing.

You refer to Wii owners as though they were a cult, when many of them aren’t even avid gamers.

The channel is actually kinda fun. It’s better than I expected. It’s not pointless at all – it’s a feature that’s easy and fun; some people won’t be into it, some people will. But no one’s forcing you to click on the channel, so how is it pointless?

It’s pointless in a sense that Nintendo could have spent their time doing something more productive than this.
