world-of-warcraft-the-burning-crusade-pc-packshot_tn.jpgThe first expansion to the hugely popular MMO World of Warcraft was received well by fans, selling 2 million copies in 24 hours. Reviews agree as well, the expansion offers more of the same addictive gameplay as the original did, albeit with a bit dated graphics.

GameSpot (92/100) “If you’ve already spent any serious amount of time with World of Warcraft then you have a pretty good idea of what to expect from its first expansion pack. It’s true that some of the new quests can feel like a grind, and it’s also true that The Burning Crusade’s arrival has rendered much of the old endgame content all but obsolete.”

IGN (88/100) “Few World of Warcraft players would consider their experience complete without the additions that The Burning Crusade brings. The ridiculous first-day sales numbers support this. If you didn’t care for the gameplay of the original game, there’s nothing here that’s going to change your mind.”

Eurogamer (80/100) “fun and exciting, distilled down and refined by the developers after years of experience. The two new races represent the most polished and enjoyable way to enter the world of Azeroth – or, indeed, to enter the world of MMOGs in general – which makes The Burning Crusade’s low-level content into an extremely welcome addition to an already excellent RPG.”

1UP (100/100) “Despite this and all the other things BC didn’t add, but could have — no new classes, no “hero classes,” no fourth talent trees, no guild halls or player housing zones — Blizzard’s savant still feels more complete than any other MMO out there.”

Hades and his minions have created this game to attempt to take over the world and make everyone a bunch of fairy’s screaming gaming curse words at each other like n00b, or OwnZer.

100/100 from 1up proves that 1up is shit. its like saying cocaine is legal.

They really need to filter out the stupid noob review sites (100/100) should be reserved for seminal, ground breaking original games… not expansions that are just new levels, quests and graphics but still the exact same game play…
