LucasArts: No Wii Lightsaber Game Yet

February 19th, 2007 by Tobias Dahl in Action, Hardware, Offbeat, Rumor, Simulation, Software, Wii

sss.jpgLucasArts recently announced Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for the Xbox 360 and PS3, but mentioned nothing regarding a Wii version, or any other Wii based Star Wars game. A LucasArt rep spoke to GameInformer, saying no Star Wars “lightsabre” games are even planned for the Wii.

“…even if that version [of The Force Unleashed] does happen, it probably wouldn’t be ‘the lightsaber game’ that gamers have eagerly been awaiting”

Ever since the Wiimote was revealed, gamers have eagerly awaited something from LucasArts, and there are tons of home videos where the Wiimote and the lightsabre are merged in something that one day, hopefully, will become a real game.
