Gaming Improves Surgical Skill

A research taken place at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York had observed surgeons who had played video games atleast three hours a week against surgeons who had not played video games at all.

“…the nine doctors who had at some point played video games at least three hours per week made 37 per cent fewer errors, performed 27 per cent faster, and scored 42 per cent better in the test of surgical skills than the 15 surgeons who had never played video games before.”

This is no surprise, seeing how video games practice your reflexes and motor skills. It’s good to hear some positive publicity for video games, in contrast to the work of Jack Thompson. I guess medical students should start playing Trauma Center now.

Lol that is actually kinda funny in some odd way.

But I think if you play some type of sport you might have the same results or better, since those also increase your motor skills.
