Activision Buys DemonWare?

1212.jpgIrish newspaper Sunday Independent is reporting that publisher Activision has acquired DemonWare, makers of netcode software found in popular multiplayer games. The DemonWare software powers online gaming in Rainbow Six Vegas, Call of Duty 3, among others. The software is licensed to Sega, Ubisoft, THQ, Atari, and Activision. The deal is rumored to be worth around €15 million Euros, roughly $20 million. Neither Activision nor DemonWare have publicy talked about the deal.
