VC to see Zelda this Monday!
February 23rd, 2007 by Brian Lockhart in Wii
Dust off your Wii points cards, this Monday marks the biggest release from Nintendo’s virtual console. And probably will be the biggest selling game the virtual console will see, unless something hugely unexpected happens. Yes that’s right, Monday morning N64 game Orcarina of time will be patiently waiting for your money. To sweeten the deal, the game will sell for only 1000 Wii points, and not be bumped up in price like the Japenese counterpart. The question now remains if it’s actually worth your time buying it once again. If your anything like me, you probably already own it for both the N64 and Cube.

YEEESSS!! Finally a game worth every penny on VC!!!

why would you re-buy something, i really dislike the way nintendo makes people buy the exact same thing over and over again, thats why gamecube failed, it was just the same thing again with hardly anything added. same like ps3 is just more powerful, it doesn’t bring anything.

Oh, i’m not going to buy it. I have the collectors disk for the non-discontinued GameCube, I’m just saying this a great title.

didn’t mean you personally. i also had the collectors edition for GC, until my brother broke it. didn’t even get to finish the master quest *cries*. i just hate how many times they try to re-sell the same products to people endlessly.

Awesome! I’d buy it, but I also have it on the GameCube disk - Nintendo didn’t make me re-buy it that time monir.

Meh, I’d say that the demand will out do common sense.

Also got the collectors edition and finished master quest. Yeah. I’ve also downloaded Zelda 1 & 2 for NES on the VC, Rock’n'Roll. Well, perhabs not, but it’s nice to be able to play the games legally, or without buying a GBA and pay $40 for a 15-20 year old game. If they would only put Majoras Mask on VC
February 24th, 2007 at 6:33 am
Yeah Majora’s Mask was excellent, I’d definitely buy that for VC.
February 24th, 2007 at 7:39 am
i found majora’s mask too difficult, i didn’t like the time limit and having to go back in time all the time, got tedious.
February 24th, 2007 at 7:53 am
Yeah it takes a bit to get into. How far did you get?
February 24th, 2007 at 8:52 am
I’ve only borrowed Majoras Mask for a couple of days once. It was f…… difficult, but I really liked it. The three day time limitation worked very well I think. It was a new take on the Zelda universe. So I’m very eager to play it again. I’ve been looking after it for some time, but it’s too expencive, just like Mario Party 3. But I will play it when it finally hits VC

…i don’t remember very much, i didn’t get far because of how difficult it was and it was a couple of years ago. i remember a boat ride somewhere, to a castle i think when i was still a dekuscrub, thats about as far as i got.
February 24th, 2007 at 12:08 pm
I got past the first castle and a little more. But I couldn’t even reach the second one. But I am gonna make all that up. Hopefully
February 24th, 2007 at 7:32 pm
Ah ok. Yeah it’s quite a hard game, but worth it in every way. Some parts are so rewarding to get up to. Some are just beautiful. I loved this game.
February 24th, 2007 at 7:34 pm
Yeah, they should do a Wii remake of it using the Twilight Princess engine.
February 24th, 2007 at 8:05 pm
Man that would be awesome.
February 24th, 2007 at 8:10 pm
Dibs on copyright!!
February 24th, 2007 at 8:20 pm
lol. You’d have to change everything about it though. Link can be female, named Lunk. Termina would be renamed to Terminator, and instead of putting on masks you’d put on different pairs of pants.
February 24th, 2007 at 8:22 pm
Ok, maybe you can have royalties.
February 24th, 2007 at 9:02 pm
Kool thanks.
February 25th, 2007 at 8:59 am
Haha.
So the Wii is more RELIABLY backwards compatible.
February 27th, 2007 at 4:13 pm
^i think he decided to stop coming to this site.
February 27th, 2007 at 5:40 pm
I think it’s just impossible for him to admit that he could in any way be wrong.

“*legal* my ass, as a game is 5 years old it’s free.
You paid for it ages ago, that’s good enough. As you are dumb enough to pay for the same old shit twice, you’re just shooting yourself in your own foot.”
Sarcasm is a foreign language to you isn’t it?
