Matt Casamassina is IGN’s Wii channel editor, and as far as news go is usually the one person in the know. Nintendo of America loves him, and IGN scores big points with a lot of third party developers. If there was any none developers brain I could pick, it would probably be Matt’s
Today his blog brings some interesting tidbits and teases about some stuff to come. If you hate being teased and not actually given any information, steer clear, but if you love speculation, at least know that he says some amazing things are in the works.
There are some potentially crazy-awesome games coming down the pipeline for Wii, by the way. You guys have no idea. I know that’s vague — has to be, but I’ve seen some stuff that you simply have no idea even exists and frankly, if you did, you’d flip out. Comments like these have a way of backfiring on me and i’m sure some people will be annoyed that I’ve even brought up, since I’m unable to give even a hint about the projects in question. Others will undoubtedly say that I’m merely making crap up because there’s no way anybody can disprove statements that are intentionally so unrevealing. But whatev. I know that if I was in your position, I’d be happy just to know that some very cool, unexpected stuff is brewing somewhere way behind-the-scenes. I swear, when this stuff finally shows up, I’ll let you know that I blogged about it way back when. In the meantime, this is probably good material for the IGN Wii message boards.

9Game zero is a rumored game from developer Zoonami. The studio is headed by Rare founder who left Rare shortly after Nintendo sold it off.
It was said to be in development for Gamecube years ago and be an FPS, but since absolutely nothing has been said on the game. Unless the studio have more than the 12 people I know about working for it, I would dismiss the game as a current possibility.
But heck, I guess we could be surprised!

10Ooh, interesting. I remember looking around the Zoonami website a while ago, nice site, it’s got/had some interesting stuff about Goldeneye in there.

11I came across a good point about Zoonami on a podcast the other day. If they aren’t getting paid by Nintendo for GameZero, how do they feed themselves off of sudoku?

12They could be working on Wii sports 2, that would be easy money. If they do make a Wii sports 2, and they really should, I hope they include cricket. Dont really know why. But I cant imagine that being the insane Wii title
