Neo-Geo in Japanese Virtual Console

February 25th, 2007 by Gibran Nawaz in Wii

SNK Playmore’s classic console, Neo-Geo, is heading to the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console this Summer. The Neo-Geo never hit the States, and remained in Japan only, thus the release of the Virtual Console will only be in Japan.

It is doubtful that it will be released on American and European Wii’s, but maybe Nintendo of America will release a console equivalent to it to please hungry fans.

Correction: The Neo Geo was released in the US in the early 90s for around $600 USD. Games cost upwards of $200, and you could buy them at Babbages, which is now Gamestop. :|
