Zelda and Nintendo fans are in for a treat: N64 classic “Ocarina of Time” is now available on the Wii Virtual Console service for 1000 Wii points.
This game is hailed as one of the greatest Zelda adventures of all time, and now you can play it on Nintendo’s new console. It has Link starting as a young boy who gradually moves up to become an errand boy, travelling salesman and fisherman, among other things. Oh… let’s not forget the “Hero of Time” thing either.
Ocarina of Time was launched back in 1998 to great critical and gamer appeal, scoring an amazing 98% overall on GameRankings.com. This is also reflected in the game’s commercial success: it has sold over 7.6 million copies worldwide. So, if you have fond memories of this game, you can give it a go again… on your Wii (that just sounds so odd!)

1‘This is the masterpiece that people will still be talking about ten years down the road. This is the game that perfectly exhibits the “quality not quantity” mantra that Nintendo has been touting since the N64 was released. In a word, perfect. To call it anything else would be a bald-faced lie.’
That was a pretty accurate quote from the gamespot review of ocarina of time. dammit now i want to play it again, curse my brother.

2Kool, Not sure if i wanna spend 1000 points (~$10) on this. Even though I already have it for the N64 and the GC. Now if its been redone for the Wiimote then I’ll give it a try

3I might give it a spin, I just can’t get used to the GCN controls.

5Sometimes the c-pad troubles a bit with the GC pad. But apart from that, I think N64 titles are pretty aesy to play on gamecube or Wii. SNES titles on the other hand, are almost impossible to play with GC pad. I downloaded Super Mario World and DKC, and they are as good as impossible to play. I’m forced to buy a classic controller if I want some fun out of them
