Man Dies During Gaming Marathon
February 28th, 2007 Posted in PC

A 26-year-old man from China died during the Lunar New Year holiday after taking part in a non-stop “gaming marathon.” The man reportingly played during most of the holiday. Although, the man was severely obese, so maybe that was the real reason why the man from Jinzhou collapsed. The game(s) he was playing were not mentioned, so at least no bad public relations will occur from this. DigitalBattle has the most sincere condolences for the family.

I express my condolences as well. I, myself, am trying to lose weight. So far I have lost several inches off my waistline and haven’t gained them back. It is sad that people can die from too much weight. Maybe it was high cholesterol and he died from heart attack, or maybe he had trouble with flashing lights or motion. If a dance game was being played, it may have been the exhertion or dehydration. (Maybe if he had played more dance games, he could have lost a few pounds.)

People don’t die from too much cholesterol.. cholesterol helps to heal your arteries. If you have a lot of artery damage and the cholesterol builds up then you could die from cholesterol. I just wanted you to know that. Doctors are finding out that most heart attack victims don’t die because their cholesterol is too high. People with low cholesterol have died from heart attacks. I don’t want you to fear a heart attack because you are overweight.

“reportingly” = TYPO
“atleast” = TYPO
Come on… no one’s spell checking any longer?

Hi Jim2k,
Re`port´ing`ly
adv. 1. By report or common fame.
The “atleast” typo has been corrected.
Thanks

I was thinking on this issue last evening and I decided to search the WWW for some info. Your blog came up in my research and I’m impress what you have penned on this subject field. As I’m currently widening my search and thus cannot chip in further, however, I’ve bookmarked it and will be returning to further comment. Like I said, love this comment and will be back before long.
