Japanese Software Sales, Feb. 19-25

Here are the Media-Create Japanese software sales for the week of February 19th through February 25th. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd had an amazing opening week, selling over 700,00 copies. The Wii and Nintendo DS are conquering the majority of the charts, but the PSP and PS2 are remaining isolated at the top.

  8. (NDS, Square-Enix) Dragon Quest Monsters Joker - 40,507 / 1,174,576
  9. (WII, Nintendo) Wii Play - 35,811 / 944,586
  10. (NDS, Nintendo) Picross DS - 26,693 / 183,357

    It is important not to overlook the factors of gaming industries in other countries. This is not a Western site, it is international. US NPD sales are posted monthly. Media-Create, however, offers the software sales by a weekly basis.

    Why is it a western site only? Most of the news posted is about japanese gameconsoles and games
