What you are seeing now is the next-generation Transformers screenshot, based off of the live action movie, set to debut in theaters on July 4th. The game will be released on PSP, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. A downgraded version will also be on the DS. View a higher resolution of the image here. Choose your side, autobot or decepticon?

1the DS versions and the PSP version are being made by 2 completely different developers from the console versions. the PSP one will feature more playable characters, there will be 2 DS games, one for Autobots and one for Decepticons.

4Bubblebee is looking pretty hardcore these days. Hopefully the game will be fun and not overly complicated.

6not nitpicking but…
from the picture it appears the colorscheme of nextgen is continuing, grays and dulled down primarys…
same color scheme as NBA Homecourt…

7Which is stupid since the Hasbro and the filmmakers went to such lengths to make the Transformers colorful.

8Hehe thanks Mr Shipley.
The colour scheme is what they see as realistic. They’re trying to make the game seem like a realistic world, so they can’t use overly bright colours because nothing in real life is bright unless it has direct light on it, or is glowing itself.

9thats not true, i see bright colors all the time, especially Yellow cars, look at the sky in that shot, is that London?
Seattle?
Resistance and Gears cant compare to NBA 2K7….
so depressing…

10You don’t see bright colours then a dominating lightsource is coming from BEHIND the subject. The contrast created by the very bright section of sky would dim/darken the subject.

13Zac life is full of bright colors so I don’t get your point. Things are not bland or lacking in color … look around … where I am from in California there are tons of colors and think about the pictures of tropical islands you have seen and days when the sky is so blue it takes your breath away. The game can definitely stand to be more colorful and not have such a dreary washed out look like HL2 (which worked for that game given the tone and story of the game).

14I never said there weren’t bright colours in real life. It’s just that, given the atmosphere and conditions in this image, it’s not supposed to be bright.

15Oh I see your point now. And yes for that screenshot you are correct but lets hope the rest of the game is nice and colorful. Like Crackdown.
