Episodic Halo Content to be Lead by Peter Jackson

March 8th, 2007 Posted in Business, FPS, Xbox 360

More rumblings about the episodic 360 content continue today. Microsoft’s Shane Kim during a breakfast revealed to Joystiq that Peter Jackson’s coming products for the 360 were going to be episodic. The first of which will be Halo, and the second is currently unknown. Shane did not reveal any further details about the two projects, except to say that they were still in the early phases and could not yet be showcased.

Not more episodic crap please. And now Bungie jumps on the bandwagon as well … this sucks. I thought we all learned from Valve and Ritual that “episodic” content is a joke and a big rip off and many times a real disappointment. Damn if PJ isn’t getting more full of himself by the hour. Yeah LotR was a great trilogy and all but he needs to chill out and get back to being a humble person like he was when he started LoTR. Anyway that is just my take on this thing.

Yep I agree, really can’t stand episodic content. The only reason it exists is because it rakes in the $$ for the creators. It is not better for the gamer. Even if you think it is, you’re wrong mwahaha!

i don’t understand this, is this episodic content for halo? which already has 2 out and a 3rd on the way, that doesn’t make sense.

Well I think that Half-life 2 has good episodic content. Every time it comes to the games they update it with good and worthwhile content that really adds more gameplay. Look at the Portal gun! I don’t think that it would go good for consoles. I just don’t wanna see a Crappy game with half-assed mechanics, where we have to burn threw like 2+ episodes B4 the developers finally figure out whats fun. But What do we know… We only pay their paychecks ;)
