Another new Xbox Live game has been fully showcased, but after Joystiq spoke with developer Dan Paladin about when we could expect the game, the results weren’t so dazzling. According to Dan, the Live game had about “…a year of development left,” which would place is squarely into the 2008 season. The increase in size limit on Live certainly factored into this decision, because according to Dan, the game was going to have a whole lot of content added. Perhaps the size cap increase does have a few negative impacts, namely a long development cycle.

It will be interesting to see what final pricetag Live games start to earn if they have such huge development cycles, and if they will remain unique downloadable content, or just regular games you can download!
