Mark Rein: PS3 ’still the one to beat’
Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games, praised the PS3 last week at the Game Developer’s Conference.
“As the big titles come out, they’re going to sell a bunch of machines. When PlayStation Home comes out, they’ll sell a bunch of machines… Yeah, it’s a high price, because it’s a new, high-end piece of equipment, but history shows that price will come down. They’ll sell lots of them, it’ll be fine.”
That’s not all, but Rein also attacks some of the critics that trash talk the system.
“So wait, if they don’t have enough machines in stores, that’s a bad thing? If they do have enough machines, that’s a bad thing? Pick one! People just seem to want to take a smack at [Sony], and I can’t figure it out. They’re the leader, so I guess they have a target on their back.”
The leader, huh? Since when does a system that no one wants and comes last in sales suddenly become the leader of the market? Atleast we now know that Epic will be developing for the PS3 more than the other two consoles.

Gibran Nawaz think about it man…. Epic is full of horse shit. Yes, horse shit! its bigger and it stinks more! Epic is telling us “ohh we cant just focus on the pc cuz of priacy”, another “It was so hard for epic to do games for other machines” How the fuck? Dude this means you are gonna make more and more and more money. You have gears going xbox and pc so boom another halo kinda game for the xbox.
So this in mind u sold 4 million copies for the 360 and ppl will buy more 360’s just like halo where ppl couldnt wait to play it even 3-4 years later. PPL like me with cough pirate the game. But most of the pc gaming will buy gears cuz only a few of us pirate games. Now, you have gears on the 360 and soon to be PC. Now, you have unreal tournament 3 for the ps3,xb0×360 and the main power house the PC. This easily is going in the 10-15 million copies gonna be sold.
Rein is playing u ppl thinking he’s favoring a console, theres no way u can favor a console now a days. The ps3 barely sold over a million. Shit i still see unsold ps3 everywhere in its first months alive. I still see many ppl buying the console till ppl get the money. Same with the 360, so on with the pc for dx10 cards.
Just Rein scares me he sounds like a cry baby little bitch and I mean both. He tried to play us saying we cant make pc only games cuz of pirates stealing. Now he backs up the ps3, liek i said he doesnt have a favorite system. His favorite is the cough MONEY!
Finally someone smart, this is what the guy should do selling Metal gear solid 4. If i read forums how the entire gaming world wants that game. I would be like fuck a deal with sony i would make it for pc,360,and ps3 and sell as many as i can!

Um, Sony is the “Leader” in that its past two consoles have unambiguously dominated home console market share. The last 3 tough months hardly suddenly make Sony “The Underdog.”

Who said its a system no one wants? Youre stooping to the level of a fanboy if you have to result to bashing their console just because one of their dumbass spokespeople wouldnt shut up. If you really dont want a ps3 even though in the future it will have awesome games then yes, you are a fanboy. If you dont want to buy a system awesome ass games such as metal gear solid 4, heavenly sword, killzone 2, tekken 6, ratchet and clank:ftod, lair, god of war 3, devil may cry 4, ffvxIII, ffxIII, lbp, motorstorm, and the other good games that are coming out for the system, then you are an immature fanboy who shouldnt even consider himself a gamer. But thats all fanboys(those who dont buy a system just because they like another better) and all fanboys are douchebags.
