No Universal Wii Codes

Falafelkid asked GameSpy some questions regarding the new online deal between them and Nintendo. It is now known that friend lists will be game-specific, which means that there won’t be one universal username for all of your friends. We thought that we’d be going forward with online gaming with Nintendo, but instead we go one step back.

Nintendo honestly needs to get with the times and eliminate these codes as soon as possible. If they really care about the well-being of the kids playing the games, they should implement parental controls within the system and not make it worse for everyone else.

Universal codes and using usernames is not that special, I mean it’s easier to use but it’s also the most easiest way for someone to steal a person’s account. For the best online safety, Friend codes it’s still the best, since it is a unique code that is embed into the each software copy. But it also the most annoying and hardest way to use for online communication.
