Earlier reports had pegged Sony as removing the 20GB unit from shelves, but was confirmed as untrue. Sony is still producing the 20GB unit, but it seems retailers want nothing to do with it. Best Buy, for example, is no longer stocking the units, and has it labled in their computers as discontinued. It’s hard to say exactly what this means for the PS3, but if mere months after release retailers are only stocking the one model, it certainly can’t mean they are in hard demand or flying off the shelves. Because if they were, you can certainly bet retailers would do everything in their power to get units on the shelf, no matter their insuperiority.

1I used to work at Best Buy, that is definately a real picture of what a item look up looks like.
Isn’t buying the more expensive model better for Sony anyway? They have a less of a loss on it.

2It’s actually a decision of Best Buy’s to no longer sell the units. I called a few of the Best Buy’s in my area and they all confirmed that they are no longer stocking the 20Gb unit.
