Nintendo 64 games on the virtual console are few and far between. In fact it’s been out for about four months and so far we have three, one of which launched the console. Apparently those third party developers just aren’t into throwing up their 64 games quite yet, so Nintendo must whet our appetites once more. This time in the form of Star Fox 64, which has now received an ESRB rating. Of course the rating doesn’t quite give a good indication of when the game will be released, but given the severe shortages of N64 games on the console in general, I’d expect to see this title pop up sometime in April.

This is the best starfox title, and one of the best N64 games made. And your right Quartecks, they need to keep it up with the N64 games. Give us Majoras Mask…

I wish it was possible for them to fix the limitations of the N64 hardware on VC. Star Fox is a great game, but if they’d only monkey with the code a little to get it to run at 60 FPS and extend the draw distance. I appreciate Nintendo wanting to be faithful to the original games, but the slowdown during several waves in some of the later levels isn’t the type of thing they should preserve.

No Wiimote re-work for this… LAME, I hate re-buying these games. If I wanted to play this all i need is a trip up to the attic and 1 min to hook it up. And now i have this game with more $$$ in my pocket. Nintendo should give back to there loyal fans and do deals/ bundles. buy 3 for 1. or something.

Yeah there’s a lot more N64 games to go, but there’s a lot of Wii life to go as well, Nintendo wouldn’t want to release them all at once, they want us to look forward to each release as they slowly trickle out to wet out gaming appetites once every few months/week for non N64 games.
