It was hard to expect Metroid would still be coming in July with what little has been said about it as of late, but it has been confirmed according to an interview with Reggie. Originally, Metroid Prime 3 was set to be a launch title for the Wii, and while it certainly wasn’t required to boost sales, we’ve been waiting ever since.

The problems spring back to the sales of the second game in the series which both Retro and Nintendo found slightly dissapointing. They want to make as perfect as a game as possible to achieve the highest number of sales possibly, and no one will argue with that. The only concern right now is whether Metroid, Galaxy and Brawl can survive up against each other, or if one of the big three is going to be delayed until 2008.
