Metroid Prime 3 Delayed Again

April 4th, 2007 Posted in Business, FPS, Wii

It was hard to expect Metroid would still be coming in July with what little has been said about it as of late, but it has been confirmed according to an interview with Reggie. Originally, Metroid Prime 3 was set to be a launch title for the Wii, and while it certainly wasn’t required to boost sales, we’ve been waiting ever since.

The problems spring back to the sales of the second game in the series which both Retro and Nintendo found slightly dissapointing. They want to make as perfect as a game as possible to achieve the highest number of sales possibly, and no one will argue with that. The only concern right now is whether Metroid, Galaxy and Brawl can survive up against each other, or if one of the big three is going to be delayed until 2008.

Nintendo just can’t risk this series. They will delay it till late 2008 if that’s what it took to make this game totally reintroduce the Metroid franchise. Of course this was probably the first Wii game that was started, so they wont need too. my point is, it wont just not disappoint players, it will amaze them, Provided of course Nintendo doesn’t do something stupid like launching it next to Halo 3.

Not everyone likes Halo. And not everyone who has a Wii has an xbox 360, the possibility of a harsh clash isn’t really there.

hmmm, brawl, zelda, mario, starfox, fzero, kirby, pokemon, metroid, mariokart, donkeykong, papermario, nintendo has a LOT of franchises and you dont know where the next mega-hit may come from, theres also some forgotten games that could make explosive resurrections in the wii like, killer instict, punch out, duck hunt, and the list goes on and on nintedo is the only company in the world that can support a console entirely whit first party titles (they already have done so whit the gamecube and managed to sell over 20 millions of the things and done tell me ANYONE ever bought a gamecube for the few and sorry third party titles maybe excep for RE4 and that also came to PS2 and you can expect it popping up in EVERY format imaginable in the coming years like ALL RE in the past.
