They will delay it till late 2008 if that's what it took to make this game totally reintroduce the Metroid franchise. Of course this was probably the first Wii game that was started, so they wont need too. my point is, it wont just not disappoint players, it will amaze them, Provided of course Nintendo doesn't do something stupid like launching it next to Halo 3.
