Sonic is that one beloved character that just never quite settled when the rest of the world went 3D. While many great franchises were questioned and preformed quite well in the transition, Sonic has never found his legs. There has been a few noble attempts, but few things have convinced us that Sonic should have ever left the 2D realm. That’s why when this 2D Sonic games come around they are worth paying attention to.
Sonic Rush for DS in 2005 hasn’t done too badly for itself. Luckily, Sega has announced that a sequel is in the works. It will release this Fall, featuring pirates, multiplayer and Wi-Fi features. Watch for the blue blur, because you’d certainly not want to miss these rare treats in the Sonic world.
