Elite Already Sold Out

April 19th, 2007 Posted in Hardware, Xbox 360

Well, at Circuit City that is. The store had put up an ad on their official website saying that they were accepting pre-orders for the upcoming Xbox 360 Elite. Unfortunately, all of the pre-orders have been claimed by consumers. Many people have been saying that the third SKU would fail miserably, seeing as the matte black color change and HDMI compatibility aren’t enough to justify another purchase from early adopters. But now that stores are already selling units of the initial shipment, maybe it is a sign that the Elite won’t bomb after all?

I haven’t purchased a 360 yet and the games that are available now certainly make this a compelling purchase.

I’m in the market for a 360, but not the elite. Besides, is it selling out because of high demand, or low supply?
