The NPD group has finally released the United States hardware sales data for the month of March. Overall video game related sales rose 54 percent in the first three months of 2007, to $3.3 billion, NPD said. The Nintendo DS has topped the charts with over half a million units sold, followed by last generation’s console winner, the PS2.
