Playstation Network Reaches 1 Million Users

April 20th, 2007 Posted in Online, PlayStation 3

David Karraker, senior director of corporate communications for Sony, has announced that the Playstation Network has now reached 1.3 million users. About 600,000 of those are in North America, where there have been 2 million sold. What stumps me is why everyone hasn’t registered to the service? If you’re not into spending, you can always check out the free game demos or trailers. Still, it is a fairly new feature, so maybe not everyone has heard about it.

Wow only that many people went on to either buy or look at what they have to offer? Does getting updates for the system count towards that number? I think Sony is playing games here, trust me, I don’t hear people at all going “Hey on my PS3, I went online and…”, but I do hear “Xbox Live is crazy, did you see what they have on there now?”
