Reluctant to upgrade to Windows Vista for DirectX 10 support? Well, this will tide you over till you’re ready: according to this blog post by Cody Broious, a “19 year old reverse-engineer”, it could soon be possible to play DX10 games on Windows XP without having to upgrade to Vista.
A preview can be downloaded from his blog, allowing gamers to play the Microsoft DX10 tech-demos on Windows XP. Microsoft has explicitly stated that the graphics API is exclusive to Windows Vista, but this may change things in the future, given that Cody’s work isn’t shut down by the company as it is illegal to reverse-engineer any Microsoft software.

1I still think its disgusting by trying to bribe us users to ‘upgrade’ to vista or not release version of current API’s for existing XP users…

Microsoft is losing it’s grip!
Governments are starting to invest in open source software!
There is absolutely nothing I want in Vista, as soon as it becomes possible to use all the programs/games on linux, I’m there.

4Gamers NEED an answer like this.
Other than DX10, there is basically NO reason to buy Vista; there are more reasons NOT to buy it.
