Fans: Unlock RSX on PS3 Linux, Sony!

20057040007.jpgWe all know just how effective Internet petitions are, but that’s not stopping Linux junkies and PS3 fans from signing a bid to have Sony unlock RSX capabilities to other operating systems on its console. Users can easily install and run Linux on their PS3, but Sony has disabled access to RSX functions through it, having users rely on software rendering for videos and games.

This bid, if successful, will open new horizons for Linux on the PS3, letting it act as a full-fledged computer. However, it seems unlikely that it will be the outcome of this petition, which has collected over 5,000 signatures at the time of this writing.
