THQ has announced a partnership with Big Huge Games, developers of Rise of Nations and Rise of Nations 2, who will develop a new RPG for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 to be released in 2009. Tim Train, president of Big Huge Games, had this to say about the deal:
“We’ve wanted to do an RPG for years and I think we have a great direction that will knock everyone’s socks off. THQ’s ability to create and grow new intellectual properties, and their reputation for fantastic developer support, made them the ideal partner to bring our dream game to market.”
No other information about the game was revealed, but a Rise of Nations 2-styled RPG would certainly look promising. THQ will release more information in the next few months, probably around E3.
