Daikatana DM Released for Free
If Daikatana brings back nightmares and bad memories, then you might want to avoid this post. However, if you want to enjoy the multiplayer portion of the game only, and throw out the despicable single-player parts, would you play the game? Somebody thinks so: a pared-down multiplayer-only release has been set loose on the web, and according to comments by John Romero, the game’s legendary designer, it has been a sanctioned release.
This modification will allow players to enjoy the game’s multiplayer only, as the author has removed any references to sound, levels and any other assets from the single-player portion. Dubbed DKDM, the modification comes with 32 maps supporting multiple game modes, taking up a meager 255 MB of hard disk space.
