New Square Enix RPG
Game Informer in their latest issue dropped some interesting information about a new franchise currently in development by Square Enix. This is likely another big announcement and information we will soon find out about next week at the Square Enix party in Japan.
The magazine has detailed that the game called The Last Remnant, will be directed by Hiroshi Takai. The game will feature two characters one called Rush, and the other The Conqueror, who is quite the untraditional dark hero. The game is actually in an attempt to appeal to a Western market.
The exciting news about the project is that it will use the Unreal 3 engine, which Square Enix among other companies purchased the rights to use earlier this year. The game is said to be multiplatform, and while none have been named, given the fact we know Unreal Engine 3 can only run on two consoles, I’d be hedging my bets on a 360 and PS3 release.
