According to Bloomberg, Sony will report a massive Q4 2006 loss when it releases the full earnings report on May 16. Bloomberg surveyed 11 analysts (and we know how accurate analysts are when it comes to predictions), who estimated that Sony has lost $630 million in Q4 2006. Sony’s gaming division is set to lose a stunning $1.01 billion in just one quarter, mostly due to the failed sales of the PS3. However, they also estimate sales have risen 9.5 percent compared to last year. In addition, sales of their Bravia TV-sets are expected to rise, and of course the recent success of Spider-Man 3 can’t be questioned. So it’s not all bad news for Sony.
