PSP Redesign and Video Download Service Confirmed?

May 17th, 2007 Posted in Business, PSP, Portable, Rumor by Gibran Nawaz

We have heard much about a Playstation Portable redesign in the works, but no official word from Sony yet. An analyst from Lazard Capital Markets says that 140 titles will be launching on the portable system, along with a video download service, and a hardware refresh. What the hardware refresh means is unknown, but it’s very possible that this is the remake we’ve all been waiting for. With price drops of the system popping up at retailers, an announcement is inevitable.

As for the video download service, it could be very identical to the current service in Japan known as Portable TV which operates via Sony’s ISP company.
