Analyst Predicts PSP Hardware Changes
May 18th, 2007 by Brian Lockhart in Hardware, PSP, Portable
After the beating Nintendo DS has been dishing out in all territories, time has been ticking before Sony would react in some fashion or another. Especially with the success of the DS lite, it only seems natural that Sony would ‘refresh’ the hardware, and ditch some of the more clunky features. The problem with the PSP however is the size. The size, due to the screen, which Sony feels, is the selling feature. Therefore, it’s kind of an endless loop. Will Sony actually listen to the consumer, or will they continue down the losing path?
One analyst however, Colin Sebastian, suggests a hardware refresh is coming down the pipe as confirmed at the Sony Gamers Day in San Francisco. What will be included in this refresh, or if one is truly coming remains to be seen on how stubborn Sony remains.
