IGN brings news that Valve has cancelled the Black Box version of Episode 2. The Black Box offered Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. The orange box included the 3 new games plus the original HL2 and Episode 1.
The Black Box was originally meant for those players who already owned HL2 and Episode 1, which the vast majority of PC owners probably have. Now instead they’ll have to buy the games separately on Steam, or the Orange Box, which will retail for $60. The Orange Box is scheduled for release later this year on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
