May 19th, 2007 by James Hyde in Adventure, Multiplayer, PC, RPG, Strategy
After weeks of speculation, Blizzard has finally announced StarCraft 2. Blizzard announced the game a an even in South Korea (where StarCraft pretty much has a cult status), and even showed off some gameplay footage. The game will feature the a “custom graphics engine” with realistic physics and all the usual high tech stuff. Nothing else was revealed about the game, but that’s okay at this point, at least they officially announced the game. Expect huge parties in Korea after this.
UPDATE: Voodoo Extreme has some high-res screenshots here, Kotaku has a gameplay video here. GameSpot has an in-depth article about the event here, if you’re interested.
