Next VC N64 Title Unveiled

Mark this one down as a slip up, or perhaps just a carefully placed announcement. Nintendo Power in their recent issue listed Paper Mario as one of their top picks in upcoming games. I’d be willing to say the magazine didn’t think they’d have the exclusive story on that one when going to print, but it’s nice to see that this title will be coming out. The rollout on the N64 has been fairly slow going. This could be for a variety of reasons, such as saving the console for later in the VC lifecycle, when the early Nintendo systems have dried up. The other might be Nintendo’s realization that flooding the market with N64 titles would cause the lack of hard drive issue to hit sooner rather than later. Surely Nintendo has a hard drive coming, but just as likely they aren’t yet ready.

Either way, show your support to the great classics that started the franchise. Based on the current releases of N64 games, expect this title in the first half of June.
