I loved the dancing minigames in the first title, and I have a certain affinity for girls just want to have fun. Out of all the random minigame compilations the Wii has generated, my favourite would be Rayman. While the difficulty level was fairly easy to master, Rayman Raving Rabbids was incredibly fun. It’s with a certain amount of glee to know that the viral marketing and Wiimote shaking hilarity is not coming to an end. Sales for both of Ubisoft’s launch titles will likely hit the million mark. It’s a no-brainer that both are now getting full-fledged sequels.

The only unfortunate tidbit of news is that the sequel at this point seems to be another compilation title. Hopefully the team can take what they’ve learned from the first game, and create something a little more robust that flows together. While I’d love to see a more epic title with the Rabbids as the main attraction, Raving Rabbids 2 will still earn my dollars when it hits.

The title is being developed for both the Wii and DS. No word on whether they will port the game afterwards to the other systems.
