Billed as one of the greatest games of all time - Deus Ex (oddly pronounced “do sex”) - and followed up by an overhyped sequel, Eidos is planning to release another entry in the action-RPG shooter series from the now-defunct Ion Storm.
In an interview with Patrick Melchior, managing director of Eidos France, conducted by Musique Plus, a Canadian music network, it was revealed that the publisher is planning on adding a third entry to the series. He noted that no final plans have been locked down yet, though development is expected to start as early as September.
It was also mentioned that the work would be handled by Eidos Montreal, a new studio that was announced earlier this year; one of the company’s three teams, comprised of 40 staffers, would be working on the Deus Ex project.
It is not currently known whether Warren Spector or Harvey Smith, the head honchos behind the legendary series will be involved in the project. No further details are known about the game at the moment.
