MGS 4 IS Coming This Fiscal Year!

Nothing can really be believed at this stage in the game, because delays are a way of life, but at this point Konami is still planning big things before March 2008. Within that time frame they are specifically stating “new titles will also continue to be released for game consoles in widespread use, along with the long awaited Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for PS3.”

After the delay for FFXIII, PS3 owners can breath a little easier knowing something big will be coming soon. Although it does require some re-iteration that it is not a guarantee of hitting before the end of the year, as the fiscal year ends in March 2008. I can tell you that’s what Sony and Konami would prefer as the time slot is the most advantageous, but it all comes down to when exactly the game is finished.
